Join the online launch of our new and extended South West of England Learning Disabilities Collaborative (SWLDC) on 3 October 2022, 1-2pm.
The expanded collaborative, previously the West of England Learning Disabilities Collaborative, will share learning and best practice across the South West with presentations including improving the outcomes of someone with a learning disability who becomes acutely unwell and use of hospital passports. Attendees will also hear from the NHS team on the national areas of focus for the learning disability community.
The West of England-led collaborative included over 300 members from varied backgrounds with multiple projects completed by the collaborative highlighted in NHS LeDeR Learning for Action reports. A recent commission from NHS South West saw the development of video resources to support annual health checks and to raise awareness of reasonable adjustments. In addition, the AHSN-led collaborative worked with NHS England to co-produce and deliver virtual managing deterioration training for over 7000 families and carers.
