Building on last year’s success, the AHSN Network will again have a major presence at the NHS Innovation Health and Care Expo, and the West of England AHSN will be there flying the flag for our Diabetes Digital Coach Test Bed and the new citizen engagement platform, hyvr.
Taking place in Manchester Central from 11 to 12 September, Expo is a unique celebration of innovation, enterprise and collaboration. The event aims to make the case for change, renewal and improvement in the NHS and social care, inspiring and activating people to do something new and different when they return to their organisations or communities.
From ‘Design Together, Live Better’ to ‘hyvr’
We’ll be leading a pop up university session on the first day of Expo exploring the evolution of citizen co-creation in the West of England AHSN, from ‘Design Together, Live Better’, (a project working face-to-face with members of the public with challenging health conditions that led to the development of three healthcare prototypes) to ‘hyvr, a unique digital ideation platform.
In this workshop, chaired by Olivia Butterworth, Head of Public Participation for NHS England, panellists will share lessons learned from two years of citizen co-creation projects, culminating in a demonstration of the new ‘hyvr’ platform. We’ll also explore how future engagement and co-creation activities can be delivered cost-effectively, at scale and in a way that increases accessibility for both citizens and SMEs.
The workshop will be followed by a Q&A session with the panel and attendees will have the opportunity to sign-up to ‘hyvr’ online.
5-5.45pm, Monday 11 September – PUU7 Book here.
