Last November Pharmacy Management partnered with the South London AHSN (Health Innovation Network) to deliver their annual conference with great success. The theme of the event was “Medicines Optimisation: long term conditions, the Frail and Elderly”. Together they delivered 24 high quality Satellite Sessions, which reflected the challenges and opportunities facing the NHS and how Pharmacy is offering skills and their application to improve patient care in a demanding fiscal environment.
Additionally, the HIN brought a new aspect to the National Forum – The Innovation Centre which showcased examples of the latest technology and ideas for developing medicines optimisation for the benefit of patients and healthcare professionals.
This was the first time pharmacy management included an Innovation Centre and it was so well received by delegates, all of whom are NHS Pharmacists or other Pharmacy Professionals, that they are now including an Innovation Centre at all their national events taking place in 2017.
This year’s event will take place in London on Friday 10 November at Novotel London West – Hammersmith and we hope it will be the best so far in terms of the variety of skills and experience on display in a flexible and plentiful supply via Satellites. Building on last year’s successful partnership with the HIN it will be developed in partnership with the wider Academic Health Science Networks to give us all to show case our work nationally.
