Event summary
We are delighted to announce that with the timeframes now available for the roll out of MEWS and NEWTT2 that our Summer Maternity and Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme will focus on the deterioration work stream and will take place virtually on Wednesday 12th July 2023.
This two-hour interactive session will build on our previous Patient Safety Collaborative events discussing the recognition and management of deterioration and is designed to support implementation planning within units, using a Quality Improvement approach, as we move into the next phase of this programme.
Who should attend?
Our Patient Safety Network (which covers Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) offers a unique opportunity for those working in perinatal services to collaborate to improve maternal and neonatal care across local maternity and neonatal systems. It provides a forum for local improvement to thrive.
You do not need to currently have an active quality improvement or leadership role to attend, everyone is welcome to join us including:
• Midwives, MSWs, obstetricians, neonatologist, neonatal nurses and other perinatal health professionals
• Prinatal service providers of antenatal, intrapartum, post-natal and neonatal care
• Maternity and Neonatal Voice Partnerships
• South West Maternity and Perinatal Network
• South West Neonatal ODN
• Local Maternity and Neonatal Systems, West of England
• Safety champions
• Students
• Voluntary, community and social enterprise sector
