Event summary

Come along and join us for a summer evening of reward and opportunity – short presentations, networking, good food and zoological wonders at Bristol Zoo from 5.30 – 8.30pm on Wednesday 10 July.

This is an opportunity to gain an insight into the work of the organisations supporting companies working in the areas of health and life science, med-tech, digital health, wellbeing, innovative foods and nutrition across the region and beyond.

Come and meet people from the Health Technology Hub, The West of England Academic Health Science Network, The South West Academic Science Network, Medilink South West and other organisations that can develop your products and business.

Programme

Upon arrival enter via the main entrance doors, there will be clear signposting to the registration desk where you can collect your name badge. The programme will be as follows:

  • 5.30pm Arrival Drinks & some time to explore the Zoo grounds
  • 6.15pm Welcome & Introductory Talks.  Come and find out about the latest opportunities from the Health Tech Hub, the West of England Academic Health Science Network and Medilink South West.
  • 6.45pm Networking
  • 7.00pm Food Available
  • 7.30 Medilink South West Award Presentations
  • 8.30pm Close

Located in the Clifton area of Bristol, The Clifton Pavilion Zoo Gardens are in walking distance of the Clifton suspension bridge and Clifton village. It is easily accessible by bus, train, bicycle or car.

By Car

Sat Nav Reference: BS8 3HH

From the M5: J17 take the A4018 then follow brown zoo signs.

From Bristol City Centre: follow the brown zoo signs and/or signs to Clifton.

Parking

There is complimentary parking in the West Car Park from 4.30pm. The West Car Park is situated on College Road opposite The Clifton Pavilion entrance. Cycle racks are also available.

By Bus

Frequent services: 8 and 9 buses run between Temple Meads Station, the City Centre and the Zoo. Call the Traveline on 0870 608 2608 for further details.

By Train

There is a local train service to Clifton Down Station (10 minute walk to the Zoo), From Bristol Temple Meads Station take an 8 or 9 bus to the Zoo main entrance. Call National Rail inquiries on 08457 48 49 50 for further details.
