In June 2017 our third cohort of GP Clinical Evidence Fellows shared their achievements with a room full of evidence enthusiasts at the Holiday Inn – Filton, Bristol.
The Fellowship programme was developed with Health Education England. It aims to embed the use of evidence and evaluation in clinical commissioning and sees ten practicing GPs working one or two sessions per week across the seven Clinical Commissioning Groups in the West of England. The GPs have basic training in how to access and use evidence and are then introduced to the inner workings of clinical commissioning.
The event was organised to showcase their hard work and the difference they are making by bringing their clinical knowledge, enthusiasm and keen eye for evidence into their Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Each GP Clinical Evidence Fellow gave a short presentation of up to seven minutes giving an overview of the projects they have been working on, the impact these have had and lessons learned. You can watch their presentations below and read more about their work here.
