Event summary

Social enterprises are already well established in the West of England and represent a significant element of our health care economy employing around 5000 people in our region.  Similarly cooperatives and collectives supported by the voluntary sector are emerging that aim to empower citizens to collectively take ownership and participate in co-designing the future of public services. Social ownership and crowd funding models are already financing new products, care services and even clinical trials.

New enterprise models are also emerging aimed at creating joint value between healthcare, industry, and citizens that could create the right social and financial incentives to underpin these new delivery models.

During this event we will be exploring how social ownership and impact bonds might transform healthcare delivery, what it means for you and how you might get involved in this new movement.
